Some weeks the phone won't stop ringing... ...and some weeks you check if it's broken.

Already running ads? Give me 2 weeks to beat your best one. If I lose (very unlikely) - you pay nothing.

Not running any? I'll build you ads that are genuinely profitable in under 3 weeks. Ads you can switch on whenever the calendar looks thin.

See which one's you Only 5 spots a month

Disclaimer: This offer isn't for you if you:

  • Can't take on any more business
  • Would hate a steady flow of customers
  • Tell me how to do my job
  • Let new leads go to voicemail
  • Enjoy fighting 4 other quotes per lead
Be honest with me for a sec

Some weeks it's five grand of work... ...and some weeks it's zero.

Referrals have been good to you. Nobody's arguing.

But you can't predict when the next one shows up. Could be Tuesday. Could be three months from now.

So in the quiet weeks you get home after a 10-hour day on the job and sit there waiting for the phone to ring, second-guessing everything.

And then the panic advertising starts. Whatever marketer happens to call that week walks away with your money.

Which one did you try?

Which one sounds like you?

"I bought leads"

"The lead was sold to three different tradesmen... so I bought the leads and STILL had competition!"

You didn't buy a customer. You bought a seat at an auction, and the prize goes to whoever quotes cheapest.

"I tried Facebook"

"I've boosted a few posts in the past but honestly... it didn't do much."

Of course it didn't. Boosting a post isn't running Facebook ads. That's like judging a restaurant by the free mints.

"I hired an agency"

"All they focus on is vanity metrics like clicks and impressions and are consistently 2 months late on reports."

Two months late. On a report. About clicks.

Meanwhile the only number you care about is whether the phone rang. If they can't tell you what a customer cost you, that's not a report.

"Referrals only"

"Recommendations are the best... but not enough for consistent work."

Referrals are the best customers you'll ever get. Keep every single one. I'm not here to replace them - I'm here for the weeks they don't show up.

Different roads, same spot: a calendar you can't plan around, and no clue who to trust next.

Now picture this

What if the phone rang... ...because you decided it should?

One roofer explained why he kept paying a lead site. Not the leads. The tap: he could "shut it off on our off season too or when we are too busy for new work."

That's what everyone actually wants. Control.

Campaign: Your phone

Right now · ads off

The phone rings on luck.

  • Some weeks $5k of work, some weeks $0.
  • You can't plan hiring, a new van, or a holiday around it.
  • A hundred five-star reviews, and still not enough work.
  • When it goes quiet, you're the marketing department.

Where you want to be · ads on

The phone rings on purpose.

  • Calendar looking thin next month? You switch the ads on.
  • Booked out? You switch them off. (Nice problem.)
  • You know what a new customer costs you. In dollars, not "reach".
  • And one day you turn work away. On purpose.

So why hasn't anything got you there yet?

It's not that you haven't tried. You've probably tried plenty. It's that every road you were sold has the same flaw: you pay, and then you hope.

Lead sites

You pay for the lead. Then you race four other guys for it.

Boosting posts

Not an ad. A tip jar for Facebook.

Retainer agencies

Paid every month, whether the phone rings or not.

The nephew

"He's good with computers." He also did your website for the price of fish n' chips. And it shows.

The gap between luck and on purpose isn't more marketing. It's one ad you can trust, because you watched it win on your own numbers.

So here's how we close that gap...

Two ways in. Both start with me proving it.

Same picky guy, same system. Just a different starting line.

How I'm gonna do it...

Your best salesman already works for you... ...he's just stuck in your Google reviews.

Running ads already or starting from zero, it's the same three steps.

Step 1: I snoop on your customers

Before I write a single word, I read your Google reviews (all of them), your Facebook comments, and the reviews of the competitors down the road.

Not for fun. (Ok, a little for fun.)

I'm hunting for the exact words people use when the roof's leaking, the pool's gone green, or whatever it is you fix. Your 5-star reviews are the best ad copy you've never used.

Step 2: I write waaaay too many hooks

Then I write hooks. Lots of them. Waaaay more than I'll ever use.

Most of them are garbage. (That's the point.)

I bin the garbage, bin the "meh", and keep the sharpest few. Those are the ones that go live.

Step 3: I make the thumb stop

Your next customer is on the couch, scrolling Facebook. He's not looking for you. He's looking at his cousin's wedding photos.

So every ad gets built for one second: the hook, the first frame, the image. If it doesn't make his thumb stop, it doesn't go live. Simple as that.

Then we let the phone do the talking.

Now, the fine print...

Here are the rules. They're not very fine. Or very long.

2 weeks

Test length (running ads)

Two weeks, side by side with your best ad. Then you know, either way.

What goes in the ring

Video winners? I swap the hooks on 3 of them. Image winners? I make 3 new ones.

I only take on businesses I'm sure I can help.

Then we're probably not a match.

Everyone else? Tell me roughly what you spend, how many calls a good month brings, and what a slow one looks like. I'll take it from there.
